Tuesday April 15th, 2025 - 11am to 4pm - Office Hours at LIC Boathouse - Stop by and talk to a volunteer  to about the boathouse! This event takes place at 4601 5th Street in Long Island City, Queens.

Saturday April 19th, 2025 - 11am to 4pm - First Aid and CPR Class for Mariners - This event takes place at the Gowanus Dredgers Boathouse at 165 2nd St, Brooklyn, NY 11231. Click here to register for the CPR class.  More volunteers with CPR training are needed to assist on our fun river trips. Interested people, please respond to this newsletter to express your interest in this opportunity.

Thursday April 24th, 2025 - 7pm to 8:15pm - Virtual Volunteers Meeting - Join us to discuss the upcoming season!  New Volunteers are always welcome!  Click this meeting link on Thursday between 6:45pm and 7pm.

Friday May 2nd, 2025 - 7pm to 8:15pm - In Person Volunteers Meeting  - This event takes place at the LIC Community Boathouse at 4601 5th Street in Long Island City, Queens.  New volunteers are welcome! Doors open at 6:30pm for snacks while they last.

Saturday May 17th, 2025 - 12noon to 4pm - Sebago Invitational Season Opener and BBQ - This event kicks off the paddling season! Join us to try out different paddling and rowing vessels.  The outdoor party takes place at Sebago Canoe Club - Paerdegat Basin in Canarsie, Brooklyn.  Respond to this newsletter to let us know if you're joining us and if you need a ride or can offer a ride!

Saturday May 31st, 2025 - 12noon to 5pm - LIC Springs! - This street festival and tabling event has become an annual Long Island City tradition. The fair takes place along Vernon Boulevard and is a great opportunity to spread the word about the LIC Boathouse and to recruit new volunteers. Saturday May 31st, 2025 - 1pm to 4pm - LICCB and Coast Preservation Network present FREE public kayaking at Hermon MacNeil Park - Volunteers can meet at the boathouse at 4601 5th street in Long Island City or at the Hermon MacNeil Park at Poppenhusen Ave and College Place.
